The 6P Green Program was developed by Sustainable Directions Pty Ltd and has been used by a number of organisations including the Royal Automobile Association (RAA), The Environment Protection Authority SA, Community CPS Credit Union, Cancer Council SA and many small business operators ranging from coffee shops to child care centres.
The 6P Green Program is a workshop based sustainability program designed for small to medium size organisations. It is a simple yet effective framework to get organisations started on their “green” journey. The 6P Green Program addresses the following 6 Ps of business sustainability:
1. People – engaging employees in taking green steps
2. Policies – providing a suite of policy templates
3. Power – providing a system to monitor carbon emissions from power use
4. Petrol – providing a system to monitor carbon emissions from transport
5. Process – improving processes to minimise waste and decrease operating costs
6. Procurement – reviewing the sustainability attributes of supplies and suppliers
