Trios has recently revealed a new look at its stores, as part of a brand reinvigoration campaign aimed at ensuring the healthy fast food franchise keeps abreast of changing market trends. The new store look with enhanced signage and an expanded menu range has already seen a lift in sales levels of up to 15 – 20 percent.

As part of 1300 FLOWERS’ ongoing support of the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF), 80 Bunches of a dozen long stems red roses were delivered to patients in the Maternity, Plastic and Gynaecology wards at the Wesley Hospital in Brisbane. In addition to this, $1 from every bunch ordered for Valentines' Day was be donated to the NBCF.
Hot British fashion brand Jaeger has reportedly signed a franchise agreement in the Middle East which will see it opening stores across Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Lebanon and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
There are only a few months to go until the 2008 Franchise & Business Opportunities Expo and the Property and Investment Expos take place at Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre. Exhibitors are urged to book their places now.
Chocolicious, which has two stores on the Gold Coast, has announced its plans for more new stores in South East Queensland, Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, Hong Kong and Dubai.

Mortgage Choice Announces Winners for 2007 Business Excellence and High Flyers
Mortgage Choice, is proud to broadcast its list of franchise network national winners for 2007 - a dynamic and well-deserved group of high achievers.
The Business Excellence Award (BEA) recipients and High Flyers (top performing franchisees in terms of value and number of loans) were advised of their award-winning status at the company’s recent 2008 National Conference, held over three days in Christchurch, New Zealand.
Mortgage Choice Managing Director, Paul Lahiff said new and familiar faces graced the stage at the Conference Gala Night, all to enthusiastic applause.
“We were very impressed with the calibre of winners, some of whom have surprised themselves and us with their tenacity and skill in building their business,” he said.
“We’re very proud of all the award recipients, as they have clearly and wholeheartedly demonstrated the passion, dedication and determination required to be a successful mortgage broker”.
Each state BEA winner receives $1,000 while the national winners and High Flyers are off to Rio de Janeiro in May.

Wendy’s to support CanTeen
On Saturday 16th February, Wendy’s stores will be raising money to support CanTeen – the Australian organisation for young people living with cancer.
Participating Wendy’s stores across the country will be involved in a national fundraising day on the 16th February where 50 cents from the sale of every Smoothie will be donated to CanTeen.
“The fundraising day for CanTeen is being held to celebrate the launch of Wanna-melon – our delicious new Watermelon Smoothie – and our staff will all be proudly supporting this by wearing CanTeen branded bandanas throughout the promotion,” Nicola Milne, Wendy’s Chief Executive Officer said.
“CanTeen is a fantastic organisation doing wonderful work in our community so we’re really pleased to be supporting such a worthwhile cause.”
With a reported 1 in 3 men and 1 in 4 women directly affected by cancer in Australia before the age of 75, the work of organisations such as CanTeen is vital.
“CanTeen’s mission is to support, develop and empower young people living with cancer by providing an Australia-wide peer support network for 12-24 year-olds,” Wendy’s CEO, Nicola Milne said.
“At Wendy’s we see a lot of people of that age on both sides of the counter so we’re big supporters of the work that CanTeen does.”
A CanTeen donation tin will also be available in-store for customers to make additional donations.
The Wanna-melon Smoothie is available for a limited time only, from 11th February – 16th March. A second fundraising day for CanTeen will also be held on Saturday 1st March.

Royal Life Saving partners with worlds largest mobile pool maintenance network to make your pool safe.
Royal Life Saving has announced it is partnering with PoolWerx to target dangerous swimming pools as part of its quest to eliminate preventable drowning.
The campaign involves PoolWerx technicians conducting poolside safety inspections in association with Royal Life Saving.
Royal Life Saving CEO, Rob Bradley and Keep Watch Ambassador Sam Riley, say the partnership is a logical and powerful fit, and thank PoolWerx for joining their commitment to safe and healthy pools.
“Through PoolWerx, which is the largest pool and spa maintenance network in the world, we can get direct access to pool owners this season to check their pools for safety” said Mr Bradley.
PoolWerx CEO John O’Brien says he is delighted to be able to participate in such an important campaign.
“This is a great opportunity for PoolWerx to give something back, and using our network to promote water safety makes perfect sense” he said.

Inside Franchising is proud to support Women's Network Australia with their involvement in the Community Partnership Project: Can Assist Cancer Assistance Network.
Can Assist is an organisation that supports cancer patients whilst they are hospitalised and undergoing treatment. They are in dire need of more care packs for the increasing number of women undergoing chemotherapy or radiotherapy.
WNA Members are aiming to supply 150 care packs and we are asking for your help.
