Hitman has been in business for 10 years in Brisbane and it has only been in the last year that it has started franchising the business. A franchisee's biggest concern will always be how they will source the work and will they get enough to provide a good living. Therefore, Hitman decided to do things differently to other franchise companies. A Hitman franchisee does not need to find their own work, as the company does it for them and guarantees them $100,000 profit in their first year. Hitman can do this because it has 100% confidence in its ability to obtain new clients and retain existing business. All franchisees are fully trained in pest management in a 6 week initial training period. During this time they are paid a wage of $600 per week.

As soon as the training is completed the franchisee begins work. They are given a work schedule of between 4 and 5 jobs per day plus every second Saturday (between 45 and 50 hours per week). The franchise collects the money directly from the client and Hitman invoices the franchisee on a fortnightly basis. This means that the franchisee has an excellent cashflow from day one allowing then to focus on the service to the clients.

Hitman likes to stand out in the market place. It does this by providing a unique package to clients. Unlike other companies it charges a set price of $198 for any size house for the internal and external treatment of cockroaches, silverfish, ants and spiders and we give a full 12 month service period on all of these pests. It also includes a free visual termite check and the price is frozen for any client having their pest treatment annually. No other company does anything like this.

And of course, the company vehicle is the distinctive red Chrysler PT Cruiser which is a great hit with clients.

The plan over the next 5 years is to expand the business locally to include Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast and to support and develop master franchises in Sydney.
