Background
Car Care started operations in WA in 1987 and commenced franchising in 1990. Car Care has continued to expand to around one hundred individual franchisees operating throughout Australia and New Zealand and is the only truly national provider of mobile car detailing services.
In BRW’s January 2005 focus on Australian franchising Car Care was ranked 29 th in a list of the Fastest Growing Franchises. In addition Car Care was ranked 11 th in the proportion of sales derived outside Australia – ahead of companies such as Brumby’s and Boost Juice.
The system has helped people from all walks of life establish a successful business with a good income and lifestyle without the need for huge investment.
Further evidence of this can be found in our Kalamunda (WA) Franchisee – Mark Lyons – winning the 2005 WA Franchisee of the Year Award in the Franchise Council of Australia’s BEST OF THE BEST Award.
What do Car Care franchisees do?
Car Care promotes itself as a mobile service where the operator takes everything necessary to the customers place of work or home. The type of job undertaken varies from a basic wash at around $50 to full paint protection from $400.
Franchisees have their own exclusive marketing territory and are in complete control of their workload. They are able to supplement their own customer base with those provided through our State based call centres and the many centrally negotiated contracts Car Care enjoys with the major motor manufacturers.
